Welcome to the Mara Book Centre Loyalty Program, a rewards programme designed to thank our returning customers.

Members can earn points when they shop with us and use those points toward future purchases, special offers and selected benefits.

1. Who Can Join?
Membership is open to customers who:

• Are at least 18 years old / the applicable age
• Provide accurate registration details
• Have a valid phone number or email address
• Agree to these Loyalty Program Terms

Schools, institutions and corporate customers may be eligible for a separate bulk-buying or institutional rewards arrangement.

2. How to Join
Customers can join through:

• Our website
• Customer-service desk
• In-store registration
• A registration form
• Other approved method

Membership is free unless otherwise stated.

Each customer should maintain only one loyalty account. Duplicate accounts may be merged or closed.

3. Earning Points
Members may earn points through eligible activities, such as:

• Purchasing books and selected products
• Placing qualifying online orders
• Buying in bulk
• Referring eligible new customers
• Participating in selected promotions
• Providing feedback or taking part in approved campaigns

Points are calculated on the eligible product value, excluding delivery charges, discounts, taxes, cancelled items and refunded items unless stated otherwise.

4. Redeeming Points
Points may be redeemed for:

• Discounts on future purchases
• Shopping vouchers
• Selected books or products
• Special member offers
• Delivery benefits, where applicable

Suggested redemption value
1 points = KSh 0.7 discount

The minimum number of points required for redemption is [insert minimum].

Points cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred to another person or used with another promotion unless expressly allowed.

5. Membership Benefits
Members may receive:

• Loyalty points on eligible purchases
• Early access to selected promotions
• Special birthday offers
• Members-only discounts
• Updates about new books and arrivals
• Exclusive offers for schools, teachers and professionals
• Special rewards for repeat or bulk purchases

Benefits may vary depending on membership status, purchase history and promotional availability.

6. Membership Levels
Mara Book Centre may introduce different membership levels based on annual spending or points earned.

• Entry-level membership
• Earn points on eligible purchases

2.Book Lover

• Additional promotional offers
• Early access to selected deals

3.Book Champion

• Priority offers
• Special rewards and selected delivery benefits

4.Institutional Partner

• Designed for schools, organisations and bulk buyers
• Special pricing or account-based benefits

The qualifying requirements and benefits for each level will be published separately.

7. Points Expiry
Points will remain valid for 12 months from the date they are earned unless otherwise stated.

Expired points cannot be restored unless the expiry occurred due to an account or system error.

8. Returns, Refunds and Points
If a purchase used to earn points is returned or refunded:

• Points earned from that purchase may be deducted.
• Points used for the purchase may be returned, subject to the applicable return conditions.
• If the returned purchase causes a member to no longer qualify for a reward, the reward may be cancelled or adjusted.

9. Account Information
Members are responsible for ensuring that their account information is accurate and up to date.

Please notify us if:

• Your phone number changes
• Your email address changes
• You suspect unauthorised account activity
• You have accidentally created duplicate accounts

10. Programme Misuse
We may suspend or cancel an account where we reasonably believe there has been:

• Fraudulent activity
• Abuse of promotions
• Creation of multiple accounts
• False or misleading information
• Unauthorised transfer or use of points
• Activity that damages or misuses the programme

Any unused points may be cancelled if an account is closed for misuse.

11. Programme Changes
Mara Book Centre Limited may change:

• The points-earning rate
• Redemption requirements
• Membership levels
• Available benefits
• Points-expiry rules
• Eligible products or activities

We will provide reasonable notice of significant changes through our website, email, SMS, WhatsApp or other suitable communication channels.

12. Programme Closure
Mara Book Centre Limited may suspend or close the Loyalty Program where necessary.

If the programme is closed, members will be given 30 days to use eligible points, subject to any communicated conditions.

13. Privacy
Personal information collected through the Loyalty Program will be handled in accordance with the Mara Book Centre Privacy Policy.

Information may be used to:

• Manage membership accounts
• Track points and rewards
• Process redemptions
• Send programme communications
• Improve customer services
